How do I transfer account content from Child to Parent account?

My daughter has had an account for over a year. Within that year, I have purchased multiple games for her and she has also made many in app purchases with her own money. All of a sudden, she got an alert that she needed to provide verification that she is 13 years old. I had to go in, add her in my family account (she was when I first set it up so idk how that changed) and now, because she’s 11, she can’t do pretty much anything on her games. Can’t play with her fiends, can’t communicate with others in the game, can’t invite friends to a game she’s playing, etc.. She is so upset at this point she doesn’t even want the oculus anymore. As a parent, I should have the ability to determine what my child should and should not have access to, but Meta does not give parents any authority. She doesn’t even want to play on it anymore. In an effort not to lose all of the money that we have dumped into this thing, I want to transfer her account to an account under my husbands name. I need to know how to do this.

Hey there, @Alicia12349913. We appreciate you letting us know about your experience. We know how important it is to be able to manage your child's account, so we want to provide you with all of the information that we can on the matter.

To start, please know that it is not possible to transfer data in the way that you are requesting. Meta accounts are non-transferable, and the sale or transfer of a Meta account is a violation of the Meta Terms of Service. Additionally, a customer aged 10–12 years (or 10–13 years if in South Korea, Spain, or Quebec) must have their parent or guardian create a Parent-Managed Account for them to access Meta Quest 2 and 3 devices. Using an account that is not the correct age can result in penalties on the account, so we do not recommend having her play on an account under your husband's name. More information on why it is important to have the right account for each age range can be found in our article here.

Once your child is old enough for a standard account, they'll be prompted to start managing their account. More information on this process can be found here.

Lastly, if you have any feedback about these processes, we highly recommend that you share it in our Ideas forums. While posts are not guaranteed to receive a reply, other members of our community can chime in and share their experiences as well, gathering more support for any ideas that you have.

We know this isn't exactly the news that you were looking for, but we do hope it helps. If you have any questions or concerns about anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out.
