Seriously - I love oculus home, but some of us still have our dk2s and will continue to have them after we get our CV1's. Not being able to adjust ipd makes it painful to look at things up close unless you're close to the median, which I'm not.
I'm going to be honest here, and I don't want to sound butthurt and I DO plan on getting a CV1 but... Without proper DK2 IPD support I'm having a really really bad time, I take off the rift and I'm having double vision and eye strains and headaches, I shouldn't have to invest in lens separators when the old software adjustment worked perfectly, I understand you want DK2 users to invest in CV1's but for some that's not possible and forcing us to be uncomfortable is certainly a way to make us upgrade but some people will be uncomfortable and not be able to afford one right now anyway.
Ive been dealing with the side effects of an inaccurate IPD on the DK2 for days now and I've prolly only used it for a couple hours total on the new 1.3 runtime, also ATW is awesome! and that's why I won't revert back to 0.8, anyway I tried reverting and I couldn't get the tracker to work so yeah. Whos butt do we have to kiss to get IPD adjustment in 1.3 for the DK2?
Any feedback from Oculus yet? Or is there mabye a hack (registry) do solve this problem?
I was honestly being kinda lazy when I asked this question. Usually I'm the one with the answers. I'll look into this for us poor saps waiting on our CV1's and needing 1.3 and see if I can program a little tool.
Also I can probably guarantee about 50-60% of all DK2s are NOT in the hands of developers. Let's all be honest, a lot of the folks here asking for IPD on the DK2 are using the headset in a non developer fashion. So really do you blame Oculus for not giving you an IPD setting now that a commercial edition is available? They probably want all the DK2 owners out there who just bought the unit to Play with it to actually buy a true commercial unit.
