Sent my CV1 back a week ago and kept an eye on the tracking. it got back to them in 2 days. how long does it usually take to get a new one once they receive the faulty unit?

Sorry for the delay. I understand the wait time is not ideal.

Unfortunately, Oculus doesn't give refunds for opened hardware, so you can't just buy and new one and expect your money back. For defective hardware, you'll have to wait for the replacement from Oculus.

To be honest you'll have to wait at least a moment. Maybe a few days, maybe a week or two. There are a lot of tickets in queue and the process just takes time. Hope you can understand.

By not giving refunds, Oculus is breaking UK consumer Law

If the oculus rift is faulty, then by LAW they have to refund it if requested

Well, each case is evaluated individually, so exceptions can be made based on the circumstances or the customer's local laws. Thanks.

That's what I would expect so it's good to hear you say that, as it would get very messy having to go through legal routes. I have personally updated my ticket today, after no contact for such a long time with my headset issues, stating that I plan to start going through my credit card company to issue a charge back if my issue isn't sorted by tomorrow. Normally I wouldn't do this. My partner works in customer service for Ebuyer in the UK, and i know how hard her job is, but even she has now said that the lack of response is very suspect and I should start looking at other means of resolving my problem. This is made even worse by the fact that this isn't an isolated issue, with multiple people reporting both the exact same issue with their headset and then the lack of communication from Oculus support. Things like this will hold VR back, and I am now advising people to wait buying an oculus rift until these issues with Oculus support have been sorted out.

I got my "replacement unit shipping" email a few days ago and heard nothing since. Keep checking but still no tracking info so still not even booked onto the ups system. How long do I have to wait. This is beyond a joke! Must have been 6 weeks now

Its laughable mate. now been told it should ONLY take a few more days before it is even shipped... so thats another week before I get a replacement. maybe!

i hope I get a new warranty from the day I receive a working unit.

Don't attack Cyber, The guy does what he can and is really a social staff member with limited capabilities, they really should have more of him cause this human has a lot of people breathing down his back.  He is trying at least to get the process moving along or updates on progress.  He doesn't need to get on his kneed and beg for forgiveness.  Really, sorry is all he can say sometimes.
