How long for RMA?

Sent my CV1 back a week ago and kept an eye on the tracking. it got back to them in 2 days. how long does it usually take to get a new one once they receive the faulty unit?

Based on other RMAs recently, a month or so if you're lucky.

that's a P*ss take. Cant you get a rift if your a new customer in a few days now?

Purchasing new is not an RMA.

yea im just saying. i could have had 1 by now if i just bought a new one and sent mine back for a refund and not rma.

Sorry for the delay. I understand the wait time is not ideal.

Unfortunately, Oculus doesn't give refunds for opened hardware, so you can't just buy and new one and expect your money back. For defective hardware, you'll have to wait for the replacement from Oculus.

To be honest you'll have to wait at least a moment. Maybe a few days, maybe a week or two. There are a lot of tickets in queue and the process just takes time. Hope you can understand.

I have now been without a working rift for 1 month. how is that an acceptable time frame? And now your telling me it could be another 2 weeks? really??

Actually, looking at your ticket, it seems you are in the end of the process. It may be as soon as a few more days depending. Let me see if I can find out anything more.

I am seriously done waiting, I need this sorted right now, I am so close to initiating charge-backs through PayPal.

Five business days since Oculus has had my DOA rift back in their hands and nothing is happening. Yet new customers are having units shipping within 48 hours of an order. Total fail.
