How to UNPAIR third-party controller from Oculus link?

Serhii_0

It is impossible to play games in VR using the Xbox controller (or any other I suppose) connected to the PC.

Oculus Link automatically, without prompting or my consent, uses a controller to change controls, aka turn on head tracking, scroll the mouse wheel with the right stick, etc. I don't need that because it interferes the input in the game.

And there is no way to unpair it... WHY?

Did anyone test it before releasing it? It's such an absurd problem that it wouldn't exist if someone had tested it...

The same topics were raised years before but still no clear solution for this.

Answers for the bot:

1. The controller is connected not via Bluetooth to the headset, just USB connection only to the PC. The mobile app can't unpair it because it doesn't know about the controller and it shouldn't.

2. I use official software with the latest updates.

The PC software has integrated Xbox controller support because when the Rift CV1 first came out, it had no Touch controllers (they didn't exist), so every Rift came with an Xbox One controller. It was the primary way of using the headset (plus the little remote, but it wasn't good for games).

After Touch, they still needed to support people with just Xbox controllers, so they still intercept it.

There really should be an option to turn that off though.

Non XInput controllers aren't detected by the Meta PC software, only Xbox controllers. If I connect my DualSense 5 controller, only the game will see it.

I still have an xbox one wireless controller.  It pairs with my PC via Bluetooth.  If I turn Bluetooth off on my PC the meta-link device panel doesn't see it and/or isn't connected.  In any case the xbox one controller is easy to turn off by just pressing and holding the top middle xbox button until it powers down.

For PCVR, there aren't many games that support the xbox controller anymore.  Just look at the game description to see if it's supported or not.
