How to access apps on Headset when in PC Link

Doc_Gee
Honored Guest

Hi everyone,

Sorry for being dumb - I'm sure these two questions will sound inane, but here goes...

1) When I connect my Quest 2 headset to my PC with the link cable and get the oculus's virtual Dashboard - I can't see a way to access the apps that are on the headset - I currently have to disable the PC link to access Netflix VR and Amazon Prime Video VR, and then re-enable to carry on with my work. This is ridiculous, why can't I access all my apps in one place? Also, wouldn't the apps run better if they can make use of my PC's GPU?

2) Whilst hand controls are set up (and work) with my headset, they stop working when I enable PC link.

Help.

Thanks.

When you enable Link, the Quest becomes little more than a monitor for your PC, so you can only see and play PCVR games. There is no way for the Quest to use any of the PCs power to enhance its native games.

Hey Doc_Gee! What user_901925786032222 is correct! Some games have the ability to be downloaded on both the standalone headset and on your PC, however, and you can tell which games are eligible for this in the web browser store by checking the right column on the game's webpage! There it'll tell you which platform is support for the version of the game you have purchased or buying!

As for hand tracking in Link/Air Link mode, It currently isn't something that is supported, however, we do plan on implementing it more in the future!

We hope this helps!
