People say to turn on guardian you go to developer mode and just flip the switch,but i have developer mode and it just doesnt give me a way to “flip the switch.” Or it doesnt give me an option to even have guardian what do i do?

By any chance, have you already tried the provided steps to navigate to the developer setting so you are able to toggle on guardian? We can't wait to hear from you. I have turned on developer mode to try out some things and also I like to play PCVR and the guardian always throws me out of immersion, especially when playing seated and games like Cyberpunk.
However, when my nephews and nieces visit (they are young) I want to be able to re-enable the guardian. I cannot access this, neither in developer mode in the meta quest smartphone app nor via the meta quest desktop app, nor inside the meta quest headset itself. The option is just greyed out everywhere.
I kind of don't like to reset my headset, for I am using the quest optimiser app and it was a hastle installing it, so I rather stay with a non existent guardian, than resetting my device.
I guess this is a bug that is related to some missing files in the meta update path. Maybe you can see into this for as one can see, numerous people are having the same problem.
So this is not on the consumer end but on the meta end.
Also: I really apprechiate that I can turn off the guardian. I strongly advise you to make this option publicly available also as a non developer. In case of law related stuff you could do a disclaimer stating that meta does not cover accidents related to a turned off guardian. Because playing seated in a fixed zone always brings up the guardian net and it is highly unimmersive this way. I mean, what could possibly happen if I am seated and playing Cyberpunk on my PC oder Asseto Corsa Evo or whatever.
Also, non related to topic, but since you have to read it anyway (appoligies if this sounds a bit weird but this isn't my native language and I don't know any other way to say it): Can meta please bring a non compressed mode to us? A possibility to connect the meta quest with the usb type c cable to the graphics card of the pc instead of a usb port? This would be a Playstation VR killer. For I use the PSVR 2 for my pc, because the uncompressed image is so much better. Since the pancake lenses of the PSVR2 are a chore, I turn to the meta quest in most cases but there is a shimmering due to the compressed image and it nearly kills my heart having a 4080 super, that cannot perform super at all, due to the messy compression.
A meta quest 4 with a graphic cards adapter would be an instant buy for me.
