We're trying to run a VR lab with around 30 headsets (RiftS, linking to the meta link app on windows). We need them all logged in at once, but we don't need them playing the same app (at least, not an app from the store, we have our own locally installed Unity game that we've build in house, we do want them all running that simultaneously)
What's the proper way to do this? We currently are trying to use the same Oculus account on all machines, this mostly works, we can sign in to all machines with the same account at once and everything is happy. the problem is then that certain machines will seem to sign themselves out at a later date (when this happens, we have to sign back in, AND set the headset/controllers up from scratch)... while it's not as clear cut as "I sign into one machine, and the other machine signs itself out right away", it does seem like this is at least part of the problem, and the thread linked below does advise against this approach (though it is a few years old)
Using one account for multiple devices - Meta Community Forums - 995463
"At the time being there is not a way to use the devices under the same account at the same time as it will cause them to sign out from the account if played together."
The only other option we can see is to create a separate meta account (and thus a separate email address) for every single machine in our lab... it feels like there must be a cleaner way of doing this though? I'm really struggling to find any docs or guidance for how to run a computer lab with these headsets, rather than just running one at home, we keep trying to run lessons and finding 30 machines all need setup from scratch!
Cheers,
Fred

Hi there, @FredTA! We really appreciate you sharing your experience with the community. The wonderous possibilities for VR learning are truly exciting, and we're glad to lend a hand!
Due to the level of connection between a Meta account and its Cloud usage, having the same account logged into 30 different devices at the same time can definitely cause the issues you're experiencing. Currently, we would recommend creating individual Meta accounts for each device, as this will allow each account to have its own cloud storage space without having to rewrite from 30 different devices and cause these disconnections.
We understand this is not the answer you were hoping for, and we truly appreciate any feedback you have. We're always looking for new ways to make improvements! Please let us know if there is any additional information we can provide.
