I am just setting up a quest 3, quick question?

I have got as far as pairing.

My phone says 'enter number on screen'. there is no number on the screen even though the phone has found the headset but there is a message at the top of the box on the screen that says it is loading updates (at least an hour to go?).

Does this mean it will not show a number until it has finished loading updates?

Thanks, I thought that might be the problem. 

I have a feeling I will be back quite a bit. Someone showed me a headset, a quest 2 and I hope, not foolishly, I purchased a 3 today.

I have little knowledge of VR or setting something like this up so I hope I don't regret my purchase.

I will be very grateful for any help I request.

Yes, thank you, I got straight on when it had updated.

I am still wandering through it starry eyed.

I did have what I thought might be problems with Meta Horizon worlds, I would get the panoramic view of the foggy city in the distance and an indication just low in front of me saying the world name I had chosen with 'hopping over to' above and a looping list of silly comments about the progress below for a few minutes then a box saying 'unable to travel. we are unable to take you to your world'

I did eventually get one to work so I am assuming they only work if the owner has them switched on?

I would have preferred a progress bar instead of the silly comments but that is just me.

Thank you for your continued interest, I will get back to you and start a new thread if I do have any problems that I can't solve.
