I can see my friends messages but can't send messages to them

Hi there, I have a problem. I can't send messages to my friends. This all started a week ago. I was playing a game and then suddenly, I can't send messages at all. It shows on the bottom right of the message that I sent, an icon of a red exclamation point. Like a :red_circle: and a ! Inside it. Why does this keep happening, and how can I fix it? (My friends also have meta accounts by the way so I don't know how this is happening.)

Hey @Thegod369! It appears that you can't send messages while you're playing a game. We understand how this can delay communication between you and your friends in the wonderful VR world. No worries; we'd be more than happy to assist you with this. 

 

So that we can better assist, please answer the following:

 

  • Are you using the headset via standalone or PCVR?
  • Does the problem occur with more than one app?
  • Were any changes made?

I'm using it standalone, this happens in every single app, even when I'm not in one, and, no changes were made to the vr. I hope you can come up with a solution! -Tiffany.
