I can’t add payment method to verify child's account

I am trying to manage my childs account. Because he is using a 13+ account, and if i dont it will be suspended by july 19th. But when i try to do the step where i put my credit card information to confirm i am his parent/guardian  it says: “Sorry, Cannot add payment method” We Spent alot of money into games and apps for his account. We would apreciate it if you help us with this problem.

Same for me, trying to verify the parental account using the same card that was used to purchase Meta Quest 3 with accessories and games just a month ago (that went fine, so there is apparently no issue with the card). The card is not accepted as verification on at least three different devices and three different networks. 
The account will be disabled in about a week (depending on message channel, the never ending stream of emails warning that the account will be shut down says oct 6, the meta account web page sas oct 5), and this is really just crap handling from Metas side. 
If Meta happily accepts payment for over 1600 USD without verification from the account that purchased the goods, why on earth would you not be able to verify the account using the same card (other cards fail as well, FYI).
Not a happy customer.

Hello, we have been trying for several weeks to unlock our Meta Quest 2 account, which has been blocked because it was used by the whole family, including our 11-year-old. We are trying to set up a parent account as instructed, but the website keeps hanging, and when we finally manage to get to the payment information section, neither my nor my partner's cards are accepted. We get no information on why this is happening, so we are stuck. Could someone possibly help us? We live in Sweden, if that makes any difference.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. When I try to verify my account as a parent account by adding a credit card it doesn't work. I have been trying different things for days now with the help of Meta support but it doesn't work. Since it seems I'm not alone with this problem Meta needs to fix this. My sons Meta Quest is unusable at the moment because of it. 
Has anyone come up with a solution for this??
