I cannot purchase any content, games or game addons or anything digital on the horizon meta store. I have tried the website, phone app, and through the headset. I have deleted all my payment options and added and tried purchasing content with all my payment options including paypal as well as I even bought a gift card and added it to my account and still I am not able to purchase and content. I was able to last year but not now. I have escalated this issue multiple time, and tech support keeps telling me to try the same methods over and over like delete and re-apply payment methods, check with my bank to see if anything is going on there end, verify my info, and try deleting my app reinstalling, logging out of all accounts and try only purchasing on the website. Try to purchase using incognito mode. Nothin is working and there is no transparency into what is the problem with my account. I would have just created a new account but with all the games I purchased and game addons I would be at a loss, and they said that they are not allowed to transfer content to a new account. They claim that they are working hard on a solution but sadly I feel as though I am as insignificant as the expected casualties they plan for in the day to day business. This is very frustrating because I am the type to invest in an ecosystem and use it not just for games but I use it as well for work and studying. Very unfortunate. Please make it right and make it right now.
Hey I found this an issue when I got my Meta Quest 3s but the only way I found around it was buying meta quest gift cards and adding them to your quest cash. You can’t do certain things like buying subscriptions but you can still buy games.
No payment options work, not even gift cards. I purchased a gift card, added it to Quest cash, and received an error when trying to make a purchase. Now, I have Quest cash on my account that I cannot use. Meta has acknowledged this is an error on their end. It's frustrating that this issue has not been resolved, especially since it's been ongoing for a long time.
Here is an update. The Meta support team still has not provided me a resolution. The case I have has been transferred many times between different people and they say they will help me and resolve the problem. Nothing, absolutely nothing has been resolved.
POST about it outside these forums, then make a new post here referring to the outside post. post dialy. complain loudly. i was transferred new fewer than a dozen times, and probably more like two dozen, each time the brand new rep knew nothing about all the previous "solutions", but cheerfully assured me that THEY would happily resolve the problem quickly. needless to say that until the last one, they did NOT resolve anything. it's not you, it's them.
Just wanted to add that I have the exact same problem, even bought a gift card that was added to my account but CAN'T BE USED. So I wasted more money on nothing. Was trying to get it solved to several customer service people. Nothing happened. Seems like I just have to try and try and try like Davecotter said.
