I cant see my phone gallery on my oculus quest 2

I looked up how to see my pictures from my phone on my oculus q2 and it said to turn on camera roll access but the setting isnt in the meta app like it said it should be

Hey there, @driftblade15! We noticed that you are reaching out because you are experiencing some issues when trying to view your phone's photo gallery on your Meta Quest 2. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! It's important that the process of viewing your personal photos on your headset be relatively simple for our users. We see why you have a concern here and we're happy to help out! Just to gain a little clarity on our end, are you connected to the same Wi-Fi on your headset and your mobile device? This should allow you to run the Oculus app on your phone, go to Settings and enable “Camera Roll Access”. Your phone will automatically appear in Oculus Gallery when it's on the same Wi-Fi network as your headset. Please let us know if this helps to resolve your issue. We will be standing by just in case further assistance is needed!

Yes my phone and oculus are both on thw same wifi, the main problem is that the app does not have a camera roll access setting

Ah, gotcha! Thank you for getting back to us with that information. We would recommend uninstalling and re-installing the mobile app on your phone. Let us know how it goes!

I untinstaled then reinstalled the app as suggested but the setting is still missing, maybie my phone vertion isnt fully caught up with the vertion of the app.

That is certainly a possibility, @driftblade15! What phone are you currently using and are there any updates that need to be done?

These are the minimum OS requirements for phones right now:

  • Apple iOS 12.4+
  • Android 5.0+

I have the samsung galaxy a53 and there are no new updates

We want you to remember that you cannot transfer images from your phone to the Quest, but you can from your PC to the Quest. If you try to make it operate in that manner, it will most likely wont work. We cannot officially recommend any workarounds, although some users have been able to find solutions, such as the one in this forum, here. You could also transfer your photos to a PC and then to your Quest, if the content is just on your phone.
