I'm missing some features from V66 and previous versions

Now using PTC v66 latest build on both my Quest 3 & Quest Pro and I would like to point out certain features that don't work at all in fact they seem to be missing ???

1. Multimodal mode

2. Basic furniture mapped

3. Voice control

Now please don't tell me features are rolled out slowly as none of these has been presents EVER!

Hey, @Moriarti4! Thanks for letting us know about this PTC issue. I'll make sure to pass it along to our internal team for review. 🙂 With this in mind, they may need a bit more in-depth information to look into this effectively so could you please provide me with the following as well:

1. What's the full version number of your headset? (64.0.0.####### or likewise)
   • Quick Settings > System > Software Update
2. What version is your mobile Meta Quest app running?
3. What's the full version number of your PC app? (64.0.0.####### or likewise)
   • General > Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
4. Any potential workarounds?
5. Which router are you using? (Brand & Model)
   • What protocol is your router?(802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be, etc.)
6. What are your PC specs? (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS,)
7. What troubleshooting have you tried already?

Answers to your questions..

1. PTC v66*******, is irrelevant as these features have been missing for up to 2 YEARS

2. Mobile version, is irrelevant as the missing features are in the headset not the mobile App!

3. PC Version, see number 2 answer!!!!!

4. Work arounds? What is this Bodge it & Legit software solutions.?

5. The ROUTER I'm using has nothing to do with the missing features listed.!

6. The COMPUTER I'm using has nothing to do with the missing features listed.!

7. Resetting the headset to factory settings, Swearing at it in 3 different languages, Seeing if bounces off the wall, testing how much impact force it can withstand (Using my size 12 feet), Asking my 90 yr old gran for tech help and finally using my forehead (with quest 3 in place) as sledge hammer to try and knock down my brick partition wall.

Please send me some more good suggestions..!

I totally get it, and I can understand that these questions seem a bit random to you. However, to help our engineers look into this issue further, I'll need to request these information before being able to relay to them this matter. I know that features are a key component of VR, and I want to assist you it by trying to get this examined as soon as possible. 🙂

No you don't get it at all !! Apart from the first question none of the other stuff is in any way useful to answering the questions.. that's like me saying to you I i'm having trouble eating my soup and i'm using a pair of chop sticks, then you saying to me are the chop sticks the right length ???!!   Get them to answer ONE question then...   WHY ARE CERTAIN FEATURES NOT BEING RELEASED IN THE UK  ???

Please can someone explain what the **bleep** is going on with UK releases of the PTC..? I'm on v66 and these are the following so called improvements that i've NOT gotten yet..?

1. Furniture mapping. (v65 release)

2. Multi modal. (v64 release)

3. Hide unused Apps. (v66 release)

4. Sleep timer (v66 release)

5. Improve passthrough (v66 release)

6. Voice control (v52 release)

I haven't gotten any of these on both my Q3 & QPro ? and yes i've tried both opting out of the PTC & a full reset and nothing..?

I've looked into this more thoroughly to ensure we're following the right path. I know how important it is of ensuring that all features are accessible to you. It looks like the best course of action now would be to submit a bug report which will go straight to the engineers for review if you're missing features. You can submit one by using your headset and/or the Meta Quest mobile app.

Clear and concise reports will make it easier for them to work on it.

2. Hide unused Apps. (v66 release) God we have been waiting so long for this!

3. Sleep timer (v66 release) Really what is the point of this on a device with a 2 hr battery?

4. Improve passthrough (v66 release) Please do a little something for the Quest Pro also!

5. Voice control (v52 release) Given up hope on this one!
