If the account has also been merged with a Facebook account, then the you will see Edit on Facebook listed instead. I want to change my son’s birthdate so he can play resident evil. When I try it says to contact customer support which of course I can’t find any j do to do that. He doesn’t have a Facebook account so I don’t need any suggestions about changing something there. How can I change it in his Meta account?

If the account has also been merged with a Facebook account, then you will see Edit on Facebook listed instead. Clicking on Edit on Facebook will redirect you to their Facebook Contact and Basic Info settings. Hopefully this helps!

Hi there MetaQuestSupport, I see you are offering the same advice for everyone here but that doesn’t work. I have the same issue, I am my child’s parent and I do authorize and am fine with him playing 17+ y.o. games but it’s not allowing when I attempt to simply change the birthdate. I set up through my gmail account but as his real birthdate (2010) which makes him a “minor”…how can we circumnavigate and fix this issue. I even gifted him a game myself and approved it being 17+ and still won’t work.
Hi @thebomb.com.2023! May I ask what country you're in? I know some regions have laws in place that state minors aren't allowed to use games rated above their age range, even with parental permission. If you're in one of those regions (a great example is Australia), your son might not be able to play until they're no longer a minor.
