I sent my Meta Quest 3 512GB for an under-warranty repair. The chaos begins...

Meta has the absolutely insanely worst support. My Meta Quest 3 was only 2 months old. An RMA was provided by Meta and I returned the unit nearly 3 months ago. After receiving it, they said the serial number didn't match. I provided proof that it is the only Q3 unit I purchased from Amazon and that I properly registered it. Then comes the endless responses that frustrate the entire process. They 1) won't correct the wrong SN on my account, 2) won't fix the broken unit they have on hand, or 3) return the unit to me so I can find another solution. All I get is this: "Our team is actively investigating this matter and will ensure that you receive an update as soon as there is progress." It's an army or polite but sadistic chatbots whose sole mission is drive once loyal Meta customers insane. I've now submitted an insurance claim for all of this, which I am informed can only be processed after Meta's warranty expires. Mark Zuckerberg makes compelling promises about the future of VR... However, horrible customer support is how you kill that future.

It gets better... About a month ago Meta Customer Service notified me that my replacement Meta Quest 3s was shipped and that my issue was marked as "resolved". Two problems. First, I have a Meta Quest 3, not a 3s. Second, they shipped it within Australia. I know that Missouri and Australia are practically indistinguishable and that it's easy to confuse the two. Kangaroos and crocs run rampant in both and who can fault the majesty of Missouri's ocean beaches? I'm considering a Go-Fund-Me to provide Meta a globe of the planet.

Oh, I just returned my THIRD Meta Quest 3 512GB headset, which could not recover from the black screen of death... again. I was a Meta fan, but now, I cannot wait until there is a viable alternative. God help me, but I'm now considering Apple's VR product. Yes, it's that bad.
