I solved the pairing bug with the quest 2 - No sideloading required

So, like you I tried everything except the sideload, but I got bored and tried everything again and the Oculus Developer Hub worked this time when it didn't the last. I'm still having weird issues with the app not connecting to the headset, but I'm able to play games again.  I actually had to try it in the oculus developer hub twice to get it to work today. It first showed up in the app after the first time, but wasn't making a difference in the headset. Still showing the same screen. The 2nd time I tried setting it up in the developer hub (3rd try in total) it did work in the headset so try multiple times. It might work if you try it now. Something changed for me anyways. It did nothing before.

So I think that maybe logging into meta at https://auth.oculus.com/ in my browser first might have been what made the Oculus Developer Hub suddenly work. It's a long shot, but if it still doens't work, give that a try too. Trying to retrace your steps in what fixed something is hard when it kind of just randomly starts working. Hope this helps someone.

Could you please elaborate how to do this? Plz

Not really. You dont talk about wht the hub is what you did and how everything was laid out

.Download/install Oculus developer hub

.plug your headset into the pc with the cable that came with your headset.

.in the app:

device manager>set up a new device

so it didn’t work the first or second time I tried it and I tried a ton of troubleshooting steps in between so one of those might have made the Oculus Developer Hub work and I’m not sure which. The second time I noticed it got stuck on trying to login to my meta account and when it worked I had just logged into meta in chrome browser so I thought it may have piggybacked off of that login.

Could be wrong.

it could have also been that;

.I updated IOS on my phone

.I reset my network settings

.I did a factory reset of the headset

.I noticed it was showing up in my app on my phone after failing to connect to the Oculus developer hub on the PC, but the Bluetooth connection was disconnecting a lot and at this point it still wouldn’t get past the pairing screen in the headset. The “i” to forget the device came up in the Bluetooth menu on my phone around this time so I clicked that at some point.  After trying everything I could find suggested in the forums besides the sideload, I tried the Oculus Developer Hub again and the headset finally got past the pairing screen.

That’s all I can remember, sorry.

Hope that helps.
