I would like to add some apps to meta quest 3S and a few 360 clips that are from my pc. But one can only do that if they get into developer mode though an official organization as an officially regestered developer. This makes the likelihood of adding home made 360 clips and certain unofficial apps from pc near impossible.
Why does it feel like Meta quest is gatekeeping our ability to add stuff we want rather then get stuck with the default methods provided within the vr headset software. Why do we need to be registered under an authentic organization as a developer with authentic credentials or assistance through other contacts many may not have the luxery of having access to add apps one wants or watch 360 videos one has made from ones pc to the headset?
It's foolish and restrictive and it gatekeeps regular folks who just want to add stuff from their pc. VR apps 360 videos ect.
Many don't have connections to developers or official organizations either let alone having known anyone who are. Why is it that we have to go through all this just to do something that is as simple as adding apps or clips from pc? Why do we have to register as developers just to add stuff from our pc to our vr headset to use.
This feels like a form of restriction. A pointless restriction that should not even exist.
