The problem that I'm facing is that I received a store gift code for a game that's currently available on Quest+, meaning I can't no longer redeem codes for it.
When I went to the store page for the game to enter the gift code, I saw the redeem button (from Quest+ I presume), so without thinking I clicked that. This caused me to activate it through Quest+, which apparently means you can no longer "buy" the game with the store gift code I have.
Most other storefronts don't handle subscription games this way, and it would be great if having games through the subscription was completely separate from actually owning it. As it is now, activating a game on Quest+ basically means you "own" it, which can cause issues like this.

Hello @Cim. We hate to hear that you're having problems redeeming a code. We'd love to look into this with you. We first need to know what kind of code are you attempting to redeem. Is it an app referral or is it store credits?
From what we're understanding, you were able to redeem the game for free since you're a Quest + subscriber. You will not be able to actually purchase the game as your own until it's removed from the Meta quest + catalog. We hope this was able to provide clarity. If you have an additional questions, feel free to @ us!

Yes, that is a correct summary of the problem. Through contact with support I also came the same conclusion, that there's simply nothing to do about this. I would very much like to offer this as feedback though - Handling the Quest+ games the same as purchases is a pretty confusing way to do it. Not only is there no way to tell if a game is "owned" through subscription, or actually owned, but it also blocks things like this. Pretty frustrating if you for example want to buy a game that's on sale, but you have Quest+.
Thank you for the reply!
