Hello ...
After I performed a factory reset on my Oculus Quest 2/64G, the menu panel displays incorrect Timezone. It is showing UTC time instead of my timezone EST/EDT.
I cannot find anything in the settings to allow setting the timezone. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

You don't need to do a factory reset. It takes litterally only a few minutes to sync the time between your Quest 2 and the device your Oculus app is on. Here's the advice from Supprt.
The timezone is based on the phone when the Quest 2 is initially setup. You can try and re-sync by opening the Oculus App, going to Devices, then connect to the headset, waiting 5 minutes and rebooting. Otherwise, you will need to factory reset the Quest 2 to change the time zone a second time. Thank you!

Meta... How in the world did you manage to set up time like this... Even consoles like the original Xbox and the Nintendo Gamecube let you change the time, but you don't. This is highly annoying as this is a much needed option. If you really don't wanna let users change the time manually, at least set an option in the headset settings that lets you resync the time in just a single button press. I also have this issue and I'd rather not use 3rd party software to fix this.

Another thing I'd like to mention is the fact that literally the OS that the Meta Quest 2 runs and was built on is Android. Android typically lets users change the dang time. Please Meta. We need this feature.

This is a stupid way to set up syncing the time. You shouldn't need to do this just so your time is correct on the headset. Both options here seem extremely faulty, the first one having a chance to not work, and the second one most likely doing what you did to get the broken time in the first place. This is like forgetting your lock pattern all over again.

How is this an acceptable solution? How could this have been looked at during development and the engineers and developers thought "Yes, factory resetting is the only acceptable solution to setting the time". Seriously, what a complete mickey mouse solution.

Oculus could not have based the time zone on the phone when it was set up when I am in California but the time zone is for some other country. When I know my time to be 7:00 a.m. and the time zone on Oculus shows 4:00 p.m. would be stupid to do a factory reset just for a time zone.

I agree with Ben-Just let us do it ourselves-We DO have brains, well, at least some of us do. None of factory -re-sets-if-nothing-else-works. My clock has NEVER been correct and with no way of setting it, I can never count of oculus for a quick heck of the time. Stop leaning on technology for simple stuff. It's just one more thing to break.
