(For people curious about the actual topic though, human vision uses vergence and accommodation for depth. Vergence is accurate, but only out to maybe 30m. Accommodation is less accurate, but goes much further. VR headsets have a fixed accommodation set to around 1.5m. They only use vergence for depth. So we get good close depth sensing, but poor distance sensing. Unfortunately per pixel accommodation is very difficult to achieve)
