The below is response received from the Meta support admin but I'm unable to respond due to error: You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later.
I have waited a day or so and it's still giving me the error so I'm making a post here instead.
"For this, firstly, please make sure you have:
1) Attempted to unlink your Instagram profile from the Meta account yourself 2) Changed your Instagram and Facebook passwords 3) Enabled 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Instagram and Facebook accounts
Once you've completed those steps, just let us know! "
I tried to unlink the account, it asks me to create a password for the meta account and when I tried to delete the hacker’s email it asks me to log in to their meta account. I'm not sure if it's even the same account?
I have changed the passwords, my facebook is not linked to Instagram but I have changed the password for that too. 2FA is enabled on both.
