I have bought new quest 3 VR goggles. I downloaded the link app on my gaming PC and stared to install and it gave me an error message saying "restart your PC and contact support if the issue persists.
BUT I did join a community on facebook and got a LOT of help... so much for meta customer support. Here is facebook link. (was quest 2 now supports meta 3 also!
