It's weird: I found the Quest app on my M2 MacBook Pro in the Apple App Store and installed it a few months ago. It looks like it's running the iPad app (no Mac native version) (Version 252.0.0.6.119). However, I went to install it on my M3 MacBook Air, but the app does not show up in the App Store anymore (and not in my "purchased" apps list, either)? Was that made unavailable?

Hey there, @HeyKarnage! We understand that you're reporting issues with finding the Meta Quest app on the Apple App Store for your M3 MacBook Air. We understand how important it is to be able to use the app, so let's look into this together!
After locating the Meta Quest application on the store, we see that at this time, it is only intended to be compatible with an iPhone with iOS 13.4 or later, an iPad with iPadOS 13.4 or later, or an iPod touch with iOS 13.4 or later. More information can be found here. So the M3 MacBook Air wouldn't be a supported, compatible device for this application.
We hope this information helps! If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out!

I understand that MacOS is not specifically listed. M3 Macs can run iPad apps and this used to work. Something changed.

Hey there, @HeyKarnage! We definitely want for you to be able to install the Meta Quest mobile app on the device that works the best for you! That being said, the app only supports iOS and Android operating systems, we are not able to offer support for any other OSs.
We hope this addresses all of the concerns you had today. Please let us know if there is anything else we can look into for you.

Hi,
Actually, I can be able to install it to my M3 macbook pro.
I have had a time machine backup in my previous M1 macbook pro, before I moved to my new mac.
I restore it from my time machine backup, an interestingly it works.
So I want to ask if it is harmful to my computer to use the app?
Thank you.
