Intermittent "Light Beam" Problem with Quest 3 in Eleven Table Tennis

Newbert_2019

I'm brand new to using the Quest 3, so please be patient with me if this is a dumb question:

Since getting my SolidSlime paddle adapter and attaching it to the right-hand controller, I sometimes see a very distracting narrow beam of light coming out of the paddle while playing Eleven Table Tennis.  It's similar to when you make a menu selection, but it persists while actually playing against the AI.  (In fact, when in a menu, the controller(s) sometimes project a little circle on the menu and sometimes project a beam of light.  I have no idea why it's one and not the other.... Perhaps someone can "enlighten" me on this? (Pun Intended))

The light beam in-game doesn't happen all the time, but I can't figure what I'm doing to activate/de-activate it.

I suspect that this may be a Quest 3 UI  question more than an Eleven Table Tennis question, but I'm brand new and still not comfortable with the overall Quest 3 UI.

Can anyone help me out with this!

Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us and enlightening on your issues, @Newbert_2019 and @KGy47! That pun was lit, by the way! We understand that a beam of light is causing both of you to become distracted while playing Eleven Table Tennis, and we're going to do our best to enlighten you both about this.

Our understanding is that the light is meant to indicate that your controller is paired and monitoring/tracking your hand movements. Here, you will find a article explaining the Quest's Touch Controller indicators and lights.

While we are experts in Meta Quest, and have some expertise in some games and apps in the Meta Store , we suggest reaching out to the game's developers as they will be more capable of assisting you both. Both of you can reach out to the game's developer, here!

We hope that we have been able to shed some light. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us!
