Is dead pixel in the middle of the screen enough for return? (Solved)

Recieced my Go yesterday and ran into this issue for the first time (I had DK2, CV1 and have PSVR) - dead pixel right in front of my eyes, noticable everywhere. Also coming from PSVR my experience with Go wasn't really good, so honestly I just want to return it now. Is dead pixel alone good enough reason for that? EU here, if it matters for return policies.

I totally understand a dead pixel would be very annoying, more so than on an monitor. People who live in the EU are covered by distance selling regulations.  If you change your mind with a purchase, you can return an item providing you have had it for less than 14 days.

That is all well and good but @OP make sure your time on distance selling regs does not expire whilst waiting for support. I am NOT saying oculus would do this but it would not be the 1st time a company strung a customer along until after distance selling expired before saying unable to help. A dead pixel is bad enough but in centre of screen and in vr is too much imo

Actually long as they put in a ticket the time of the issue happens at that point not between the 14 days if that makes sense? So if there was an issue on the 13 - and ticket goes into the 16th day - it still be covered, but yea the sooner the better is always the better. If a company pulls that - then you have the rights to play your ground on that. Just show proof you was attempting to get a hold of them between that period of time - then you are in your full right in law.

If this was through Amazon, you would request a replacement - no questions asked. It's obvious you will have to send it back as it sounds like this is unfixable.

Shame Amazon don't stock them yet.  They are selling on Amazon (UK) but via third party sellers at extortionate prices! 

Anyway, I'm sure you will get the desired outcome in the end

I have a dead pixel too. It is found pretty much a little bit left below the left eye center. it is very annoying. also there are othere people reporting the same issue. (https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/8hkq3r/stuckdead_pixel_in_oculus_go/)
What now?
