Is there anyone using new MacBook Pro 2016 for DK2? I have a problem of connection

I am sure that I am using the right cable and the right adapter that has a HDMI port. But I always got a orange light when I connect my DK2 to my computer. I have connected my DK2 to my friend's old MacBook Pro and the light turns blue immediately without any configurations. So I think that might be my new MacBook Pro 2016 's problem. I have try to change the resolution and the display mode in the display setting but it doesn't work. Is there any solution for this problem?

Which Macbook Pro model is it? The 13" models only have Intel graphics. The latest rift software requires amd or nvidia gpus and won't work.

Laptops in general have a low chance of working with the rift.

The 13'' one that only have intel graphics. But my DK2 works very well on my old MacBook Air.

Same problem here! My MacBook pro 16(with touch bar) not able to connect DK2, it keeps orange light and can't see anything even MacBook detects second screen connection. But other old MacBook and windows PC(except USB-C's PC) are workable!
I try to install windows 10 using Bootcamp see whether it is OS problem, but not work as well..
Is this because of USB-C connection?

I'm confused. I did not know that OSX was support at all by Oculus. When did this happen. I know there was a very old runtime (0.5?) that worked on Linux but I thought with the latest runtime only Windows was supported.

Yep, 0.5.0.1 from march 2015 was the last runtime that worked on OSX or Linux.

It's hard enough to get rifts working on USB ports of PCs, I'd imagine it's less likely on a mac (unsupported) laptop (unsupported) with intel gpu (unsupported). 🙂

Laptop internals change a lot over their generations, an old one working doesn't mean a newer model will also work. But it does indicate that at least the rift isn't broken.
