My mom has an account and received a message from the same email, do_not_reply@email.meta.com. Asking for an ID upload for verification. Is this request and email legit?
Yes, in my case, it turned out to be a legitimate email even though it had all the red flags of something fraudulent. If there is a link in the email, double-check that it is taking you to a domain controlled by Meta, such as auth.meta.com, by hovering your mouse pointer over the link/button and inspecting the URL.
Honestly, these communications should be handled in-app. Sending emails like this makes it look like it’s amateur hour at what is supposed to be a premier tech company.

I received the same email and I am trying to see if this applies to my account as well. Says I will be suspended if I don’t verify my age. I go to the link but no idea what I am supposed to update! I can’t find any way to get a hold of Meta to get this corrected/fixed. Help!
