Issue watching purchased 3D movie in Occulus Video

I recently purchased Dredd 3D from the Occulus Video app for $4.99.

Upon trying to stream, I received an error "We couldn't play this VideoE [sic]".

I figured there must be a bug and downloaded the movie instead. When I tried to play it again, I received the same error (with the same spelling).

I uninstalled the app and re-downloaded it, same problem, and there doesn't seem to be an option to delete the downloaded movie file from the app either.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Gear Vr with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Is this a known issue? If so, is there a fix? If not, I would like a refund (not sure where to go with that request). Thank you in advance for your help.

usally when a video doesnt play its because of codecs, but i dont know how this works in vr

Gear users can purchase 3D films? This is one of the things I want most on Rift; with a screen for each eye, VR is the best 3D experience I've had. But sticking to legal sources, all I can watch are 3D side-by-side samples from YouTube.

I'll spend a lot on this option if it comes to the Rift.

Yeah, after reading this, I went looking for 3D movies to purchase on my Rift. But no luck.

I'd buy most of the 3D movies I own again if they were $4.99 each to download (Dredd is one of the best I own, BTW).

I had purchased the martian 3d on my note 4 gear vr, and was able to watch it, albeit with a lot of buffering, battery drain, and overheating. I was also able to watch it on my rift, though it currently says i have no purchased movies. It also says that the movies section is temporarily unavailable, which i take to mean they plan to add that store. I hope they also add the ability to watch twitch streams you follow.

I have tried to rent a 3d video in the video app and it comes up with the same error message everytime: "Something Went Wrong we are trying to fix this right away'? Does anyone else have this issue?
