Issues using Quest Link on my Quest 2.

I just got my Link Cable today. I plugged the straight end into the Type C port in my motherboard and the angled end into my Quest 2. It prompts me to turn on the QuestLink, I hit Enable. then it takes me to a screen with three dots and sits there. When I go into the Oculus app on my PC and test the cable connection, it first tells me there was an error. when I try it again, it starts the test but stops at the end of the bar and sits there. My PC has an RTX 3050, Ryzen 5 5600x and plenty of memory space. What's wrong with my tech?

Hey @AmethystStarfire, I know PCVR can be pretty fun, so I'd be glad to help as best I can.

To get a bit of insight, could you please answer the following:

  1. Is your 3050 a Laptop GPU or a desktop GPU  by chance?
  2. Is your GPU up to date?
  3. How about your Windows 10/11 version?
  4. Does Air Link have any issues when trying to start it up?
  5. What all have you tried already? (So to not have you repeat any steps)

Along with this, if you have not already. Could you please try the following:

  1. Check your USB power settings:
    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Locate your USB ports - Expand the universal serial bus controller section at the bottom of the list.
    3. Look for the "USB 3.0/3.1/3.10 eXtensible" items.
    4. Right click and select Properties.
    5. Navigate to Power Management.
    6. Ensure that the options to save power are deselected.
      • They won't all have this option which is okay, just move onto the next one available.
  2. Check for selective suspending:
      1. Right-click Start
      2. Click Power Options
      3. Click Additional Power Settings
      4. Click Change plan settings
      5. Click Change Advanced Power Settings
      6. Find USB Settings
      7. Make sure that Selective Suspend Setting is set to Disabled, and not Enabled.

I do apologize for the lengthiness, but if this doesn't help out. Feel free to let me know!

Heyo @AmethystStarfire. Just checking in to see if you were able to give those things a shot. If so, and they didn't help out. Let me know and I'll find some other things to try! 🤗
