Issues with in-game height after update

this has happened in all my games ever sense the last meta update and i have reported it but nothing ever changes it has been months sense reporting and it has stayed the same im becoming more and more frustrated as the days go on please someone tell me how to fix it all my games have become unplayable. thank you for reading.

Hi @mamapo.781122 🙂

if you have "lying down" mode enabled, disable it, restart the headset and look if that changes anything in games.

There were several people who could fix it that way.....seems a bug with "lying down" mode.

I'll keep my fingers crossed🤞

Having issues with your avatar height not tracking properly in your games can make things hard to play effectively, so we want to provide some other information that may help. In this case, resetting your saved boundary information may help clear up the issues with your height not being tracked properly, as it should allow you to reset the floor level as well. For the steps on how to clear old boundary information, and set up new boundaries as well, please check out our help link here.

  1. What device are you experiencing this issue on?
  2. Are you on the PTC server? If so, have you tried opting out, and does that remedy the issue?
  3. Have you tried doing a factory reset on your device? To see the steps on how to do one, click here.

so nothing working and a lot of people are having the same problem so im hoping it gets fixed in the next meta update thanks for your help.

We'd love to continue working towards a resolution, so we kindly ask that you answer the following questions to help us better determine any possible troubleshooting steps. 

  • What device are you experiencing this issue on?
  • Are you on the PTC server? If so, have you tried opting out, and does that remedy the issue?
  • Have you tried doing a factory reset on your device? To see the steps on how to do one, click here. What this will do is reset the device to a "like-new" state, wiping all information and data off the device.
    • Some of this data can be restored by enabling cloud backups beforehand; however, keep in mind that while cloud backup is available to all Meta Quest developers, it's up to developers to decide whether to enable this feature for their app and what data is backed up.
    • You can find which installed apps have cloud backups enabled on the Cloud Backups page of your Meta account profile.
    • Once you've set up cloud backups, ensure your device is fully charged, and then proceed with the directions found in the Meta Store Help Center.
