So I've been fighting occasional "jitter" with my tracking ever since I first got the headset. Previous tried using an inatec card (only recently realized it was the 5 port version not the 4 port version but... anyway). Just bought the recommended Startech 4 port 4 controller usb card, and it worked... for a few hours. Today while playing, my whole system went a bit haywire, kept getting an error message saying a usb device was drawing too much power (never had this error on this system before). I'm also booting up the system and getting a "wireless sync" error on one camera (again, only started since switching to the startech card). Now, the weird thing is, when the card does work, my tracking seems more stable than when the previous usb card, and much more stable than just using my motherboard's usb ports.
Any suggestions from anyone as to what's going on? I'm currently doing a clean install on my whole rig to see if it's a driver issue from the old card, but I really can't think of what else could be causing this.
Relevant info: Asus skylake board (can't remember offhand which one). 8GB ram, GTX 1080. USB card is plugged into my spare x8 pci-e port. Plugged into a sata power cable. Running 3 sensors, wall mounted, on the recommended usb 3 5M extensions.
