Just purchased a game, been charged twice, Meta denying it.

I just purchased a game (using a discount code) for my Quest 2. Next thing I know, I get two notifications from my Bank's app to say I'd been charged. When I loaded the my bank app my transactions showed I'd been charged twice.

I then got TWO emails from Meta for the purchase. (Same order number and receipt number though).

I just contacted support and they looked at my account, only to see one order..... just like I can when I look at my Meta account. As far as they was concerned that was it! "We can only see one order. Sorry"

Of course the person in support is only going to see one order. They essentially have access to the same stuff I do. If I've been charged twice, and received two emails, then there is a backend issue which is going to take more investigation OR just trust the evidence the client as given you and refund them!

I know it's not a lot of money but it's the principle of these systems having issues and the frontdesk staff denying it. I've also seen lots of people in this forum have been charged twice in the past.

The Two emails....

EDIT: I also like that when support said I would get an email from which I could follow up on my case....guess what!? No email. So now I'll have to repeat myself and go through the whole process again.

The Link you provided was what I went to in the first place, hence my original Post here. I have been told someone is dealing with it but not heard back. I was also told to speak to my bank again, which I have and they say they can't do anything as Meta have charged me twice.

Hey hey! It looks like they may have been mistaken in their choice of link. I went ahead and fixed it so it should now lead to their profile where you can send a private message. They'll be able to check out your case and get a deeper look for you there.
