Kingspray Graffiti broken on Rift S

J00777

Hello.

I bought the Kingspray Graffiti app in 2020 and used it for 10h without any problem.

But I reinstalled it yesterday and version 2.3 made the game unusable on my Oculus Rift S headset.
The centering position is too low and impossible to adjust the height in-game. Recentering the view via the meta application doesn't solve the problem.
And also my character's hands have disappeared and I can't grab any objects in-game.

So I'm stuck 3 feet above the ground and can't climb higher to paint on the walls because I can't move ladders or crates, and can't use or move anything on the level.

The problem isn't with my hardware, as my headset and controllers work perfectly well in other games.

I tried to contact the person who created the game but I got no answer.

What can I do to fix the game? Is it possible to go back to a later version that worked on the Rift S? And if not, is it possible to get a refund even though I bought the game 4 years ago?

Hey there, @J00777! We hate to hear that the game is presenting these different issues. We can imagine how this must feel, and we do hear you. After further review, we discovered that the game no longer supports the Rift S, and this is more than likely the reason for all the issues. Although you've already reached out to the developer with no reply, they are going to be the best way to get a more detailed explanation since Meta didn't create the game. In regards to the refund, that will not be something we are able to do given the time span in which you have owned the game. We hope this information adds clarity, even if it isn't the ideal outcome. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your reply.

This is far from an ideal result indeed.
I paid for a product that is now faulty because of the people who produced it and sold it to me, and I think the law requires that this product be repaired or that I be refunded.
I don't have to deal with the producer, but with the company that sold it to me, which has not been able to keep the product in good working order over time.

I'd also like to point out that the product sales page on the Meta store still states that this software is compatible with Rift and Rift S headsets.
As this is an erroneous and misleading indication, it would be a good idea to modify this page so that other users or potential buyers aren't fooled by these false indications.

Having received no reply from the manufacturer, who has apparently abandoned this software, I would like you to reconcile my request for a refund.

With kind regards.

Hello again @J00777! We can definitely empathize with your perspective and understand there may be a disconnect in what you are seeing on our page. Can you send us a screenshot of where you are seeing on our page that Kingspray Graffiti supports the Rift S? From what we can understand, it's not that the game is faulty, but that it no longer supports the Rift S, which simply speaks to incompatibility. We know that can feel wrong and we can align with you there. As far as the refund, we won't be able to refund your purchase for the content as it is out of scope in reference to our policy. You can read more about that here. Getting in contact with the developer is truly going to be the best course of action for any possible resolution.
