I wanted to create a list of know conflicts with the Rift. I have discovered a couple. Hopefully someone at Oculus will read this post and either use the solutions provided or look into resolving the problems themselves with a runtime update. Please use the format below and I will add them to the list on this first post (if I can edit).
PROBLEM: The TeamViewer application is causing some VR to show on the monitor and not in the HMD.
SOLUTION: Close TeamViewer. There may be a small systray icon that needs to be closed.
NOTES: Farlands is the game I have encountered this on.

PROBLEM: External USB powered monitor causes the HMD to not be reconized by Windows.
SOLUTION: Uninstall the external monitor driver and application.
NOTES: This happens with my ASUS MB MB169B+ monitor. it may or may not happen with other external usb powered monitors.
