Known Issue - Black bar when accessing store (Link/Air Link)

When I’m using the AirLink and I’m on my VR desktop, I will click on the store and the store doesn't appear.  Instead a black bar pops up in my view about the same shape and size as the Oculus frame and wherever I look, it moves with me.  When I want it go to away, I have to unlink and relink my connection.  But, it reappears each time I want to visit the store on the VR desktop.

 

Has anyone else run into this issue and know of a solution?

I've got the same problem and when I updated to V39 it still didn't work, I don't really know what to do.

Hey there! You Quest may be updated to V39, but can you also make sure your desktop app is updated to the latest build? Does the issue you're experiencing have any differences than that of OP's? We want to make sure you have the same exact issue, and not something else, so we can offer the most relevant troubleshooting that we can!

Ref Black Rectangle:Been contacted about 10 times from Oculus support now, after sending logs they said my graphics card was the issue. Which I know is just below the required spec it has worked before and Air link also worked before, but now neither do. They say it is not as a result of an update, well it must be. They said some Razer software apps casue issues and also that I should try the Virtual Desktop app in stores for £14.99 and refund if it doesnt work.
 

They are quick to blame their problems on something else instead of accepting responsibility.  In another instance, they told me to roll back my PC to Windows 10, completely side stepping the problem. 

They have said it won't work with Windows 11 to me to, but I'm using 10 anyway. It worked OK even with a USB 2 cable before on my set up. Now after buying a 10bg rated cable it doesn't work as have the black rectangle and with my old cable also, and Air Link. So is deffinately something done in an update. They told me V40 update is released soon and hopefully it may fix this issue? 

Sorry It has taken me a bit to reply.  It has come back for me again in V39.  As long as I click on the Store, it will pop up but normally I try to avoid doing so as when I enter the VR dashboard, the store is already there.

Hi.  It did go away for a bit but it has come back.  I'm not overly mystified as things like this happen.  So I have v39.0 on the Oculus and the Desktop App.  I used AirLink and a USB 3 cable to get to my Oculus VR desktop and the whole black bar thing still shows up.  I have wondered if it a graphics card issue, though.
