Hi everyone! We're seeing a small group of Steam VR users finding that Dash is crashing on headset and that their PC is becoming unresponsive once they quit the app.
The team is working on identifying and fixing the root cause of this issue, and right now the investigation shows that this is likely related to Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling being enabled when using certain Nvidia GPUs.
If you're having this issue, there is a workaround In the meantime! You can prevent this happening by disabling the Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling feature. To do so, follow these instructions.
If you need any further help or have noticed other bugs around Steam VR, please comment below. Let me know if you have any questions!

This fits the timeline as to when my husband's Quest 2 started disconnecting after a few minutes of play time no matter method (wired, Steamlink, Virtual Desktop, Airlink). It was fine 2 months ago, but he can barely stay in an app before it closes and it attempts to kick back to SteamVR.

Tried this on his machine just now with AirLink. Still crashed about 5 minutes into Synth Riders.

Dash? As in the horrendously outdated, late-2010s Meta/Oculus button menu thing that surprisingly still works as a virtual desktop? Something like the issue described here happened to me recently.
Dash completely stopped responding to the Meta/Oculus button after I had opened it multiple times with SteamVR running simultaneously. I noticed the system becoming briefly unresponsive each time, up to the point I could no longer open the menu.
Additionally, after closing SteamVR, I was still unable to call the Dash menu during Quest Link apps and could not interact with some of the Dash UI elements when no app was running.
I currently have no logs or useful information related to this incident, and I've yet to encounter or reproduce the issue again to consider it an actual problem for me. I will update my reply if this changes.
If it helps, my graphics card is an "MSI GeForce RTX 3060 VENTUS 2X 12G OC".

Hey, thanks for sharing this info! It’s great that the team is already working on a fix. Disabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling seems like a solid workaround for now. Hopefully, that helps most users who are facing the issue. If anyone's looking for a fun distraction while waiting for the fix, I’ve been getting into

Thank a lot . I struggled to solve this annoying problem for a couple of weeks. Now I am relieved.
This works.

Hello, I would like to know if this issue would be resolved in DCS when not running through Steam. In my case, I have the Quest 3 in developer mode, performed a clean installation W11, connected my Quest via cable, and upon launching DCS, it crashes, losing the monitor signals. I have an RTX 3080 and an I9 14900K with 64GB DDR5. Thank you in advance.
