Hi everyone! We're seeing a small group of Steam VR users finding that Dash is crashing on headset and that their PC is becoming unresponsive once they quit the app.
The team is working on identifying and fixing the root cause of this issue, and right now the investigation shows that this is likely related to Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling being enabled when using certain Nvidia GPUs.
If you're having this issue, there is a workaround In the meantime! You can prevent this happening by disabling the Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling feature. To do so, follow these instructions.
If you need any further help or have noticed other bugs around Steam VR, please comment below. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey there @Frank.c.m,
Thank you for bringing this issue of your game crashing to our attention, we would love to help you out with this!
We would definitely recommend updating your drivers, just to ensure they are all up to date.
As well as this, we encourage you to try a repair of the Meta Link app.
Could you also please confirm to us if this happens in every game, or just Digital Combat Simulator World?
We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hello, thank you for your response. I’d like to inform you that all drivers are up to date. The graphics card is on its latest version, 566.36 (RTX 3080), and the Meta app is also updated. The headset is on version V72. Regarding other games, I cannot provide information since I only use DCS through Quest Link. Thank you.

Thank you for confirming these details, @Frank.c.m!
We would like to recommend downloading a free app from the store, just to test this out, as this could be an issue with the application itself.
We hope to hear back from you soon!

Hello, I can assure you that this is not an issue with the application, as I have colleagues who are using the exact same application with the Quest 3 headset

Thank you for getting back to us, @Frank.c.m!
Unfortunately, when it comes to software such as this, sometimes a bug within a game or a software error does not have to affect your colleagues for it to be affecting you.
We would like to rule this possibility out so we can provide you with accurate support, and find you a solution quicker. Please try launching another application and let us know how you get on!
Thank you!

The Meta Quest 3S is a more affordable version of the Meta Quest 3, designed to be more accessible to budget-conscious VR users. While it shares the same powerful Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor and 8GB of RAM as its higher-end sibling, the Quest 3S features a lower-resolution display and utilizes the Fresnel lens system from the Quest 2. This can result in a less immersive visual experience compared to the Quest 3, with potential for noticeable pixelation and reduced clarity, especially at the edges of the field of view. Additionally, the Fresnel lenses may contribute to a slightly thicker and less comfortable fit compared to the Quest 3's pancake lenses. However, the Quest 3S still offers a compelling entry point into the world of VR, providing access to a wide range of immersive experiences at a more budget-friendly price.
