Hi, my Oculus Quest 2 headset is saying low memory, but I have heaps of memory. It is making it so I can not play my game. What is causing this problem or does anyone have any solutions.

Hey everyone! I just got an update from our internal team and it looks like with versions 60 and onward we'll start to see even more improvements to this.
If you continue to run into this, I'd recommend making sure you're on the latest version by going to your System settings and checking the Software Updates section. Along with that, I would suggest submitting a bug report that'll send any necessary information over to our engineers for them to look into.

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread as we're over a year on from the initial reports (from users running v53) and the replies appear to be a mix of low storage and low memory issues. Here's some quick guidance to help future viewers of the thread:
If you're experiencing a low storage error:
Enable Cloud Backup and complete a factory reset.
This will clear all the data from the device including any unused files that may be clogging up your storage.
If you're experiencing a low memory error:
Delete the app's data/cache.
Open Settings > Select Storage > Select Delete App Data icon next to the app
These steps seem to fix issues with VR Chat in particular
If you're continuing to experience issues after completing these steps, please submit a bug report to the app's developers (you can find their details on the app's Meta Horizon Store page) and to our developers.

I keep experiencing the Quest crashing when I go into the lobby playing Population One. I get a message saying that there isn't enough memory to support the game, however I have only used half of the storage available. I have turned off and then the back up data option. Please 🙏 help.

Hey there, @GhostPopper! We couldn't help but notice that you are experiencing some issues when trying to play POPULATION: ONE. We certainly understand how disappointing something like that can be and how it can really effect your overall experience, so we'd like to help you get this issue sorted out as quickly as possible! So that we may gain a little clarity on our end, we'd like to ask you a few questions:
Also, we'd like for you to check your exact storage space just to ensure that you do have enough space left on your headset.
To check how much space is left on your Meta Quest headset:
To check how much space is needed to download content from the Meta Quest Store:
If it turns out that there is limited storage available, you can increase the amount of available space on your Meta Quest headset by uninstalling apps from your library. Please let us know if this helps to resolve your issue. We will be standing by just in case further assistance is needed!

I just had this happen to me on pop1. Also some friends are having same issue with horizon worlds. I have 4 gigs free and they have 256g headsets so i see this as a headset software issue as I've never had a problem before even with low space

Hey there, @BangBang950! We hate to hear that your headset is showing an error about memory space. We know how having to deal with this can hinder your VR time, and we're happy to help you with this!
Since you have checked to make sure you have enough space in your headset and are still seeing this error, we recommend reporting this issue to our developer team so they can look into it further. You can do so by following this link.

My game crashes and says as a notification that blade and sorcery cant run cause of low memory. This only happens on the 3 star dungeon and has happened once at the end of a second star dungeon. Sandbox works fine typically and even with mods it works fine.
I have 15.5gb free so the storage is not the issue. I have also unistalled the game and reinstalled it, yet the issue is still there.
Is this me or is it in need of a fix?

Hey there, @MustangPotato! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We fully understand that Blade & Sorcery: Nomad is informing you that there is insufficient room for it to run. We know how this could affect your VR experience.
We would like to point you in the right direction. By contacting the game's developers to determine what is causing these issues. We'll leave the link here for you to be able to reach out to them.

I am now having this issue but with Into The Radius. I have deleted 5+ games, and I bought the most expensive oculus 2 with the most memory. I feel like this is a video memory issue. The game starts glitching, and then just crashes and takes me to home. Very bummed about this. I dont think I have had the console for very long either. It’s amazing how few games are on the quest 2, and how quickly this became a problem (assuming it’s video memory). I don’t know what to do about it.

this has also happened to me and my oculas says i have 67 giga bites free
