Hi, my Oculus Quest 2 headset is saying low memory, but I have heaps of memory. It is making it so I can not play my game. What is causing this problem or does anyone have any solutions.

Storage space is not memory. RAM is memory. This has nothing to do with how many apps or games you have installed.

If it was the RAM, a simple shutdown and restart should have solved the problem...
But in this case no, the headset "auto-saturate" itself.
True or false, the system thinks it has no disk space left.

Please stop telling people to factory reset their headset just because it's a little more work to do the investigating and a little bit of digging to find out what the exact problem might be. Factory resets are not a universal fix-all!!! Factory resets are extremely annoying and take forever!!! Also when there's a solution out of 16 to 100 plus pages of replies and comments do have enough decency to pin the actual solution to the problem to the very beginning of the thread or at the very least pin something saying that tech support is clueless and will pin a solution to the beginning of the thread when (and IF) any are found... Thank you
P.S. I'm having the same issue with mid game crashing due to "OOM."

I'm also running into this issue. In Contractors, on the Quest 3 at least, this"low memory" issue causes most of the textures to appear low quality. It also sometimes crashes when viewing my loadouts. I say most as the TFVR loadout and map textures work fine as far as I can notice. But other than that, the vanilla and most modded textures for guns, weapon icons in the loadouts, maps, objectives, even the activity icons in your own lobby becomes lower quality. Even when you're setting up a game, the map picture will stay a blurry mess.

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread as we're over a year on from the initial reports (from users running v53) and the replies appear to be a mix of low storage and low memory issues. Here's some quick guidance to help future viewers of the thread:
If you're experiencing a low storage error:
Enable Cloud Backup and complete a factory reset.
This will clear all the data from the device including any unused files that may be clogging up your storage.
If you're experiencing a low memory error:
Delete the app's data/cache.
Open Settings > Select Storage > Select Delete App Data icon next to the app
These steps seem to fix issues with VR Chat in particular
If you're continuing to experience issues after completing these steps, please submit a bug report to the app's developers (you can find their details on the app's Meta Horizon Store page) and to our developers.
