Known Issue: Quest 2 SystemUX Crashes when using App Tray/Browser

Hello all, I played some VR last night no issues woke up this morning to find some weird problems.

Initiallt the issue was SystemUX keeps stopping, I tried clearing cache and storage for the app to no resolution. I then ran a headset factory reset. The system tray now works ok and doesnt crash HOWEVER, everytime I try to open the app tray I now get a blank grey box that looks like a notification and lose my system tray all together. I tried floating the app browser in parallel view this shows the app browser but it's all blanked out and inaccessible behind the blank glitches notification with no system tray.

Any help whatsoever will be appreciated.

Side note I also relogged and reset oculus all on my phone

Also have this issue.

Grey box with systemux crash message.

Cannot access list of installed games via the app.

Unusable headset at the moment.

Well this is bad so far i have set up 15 Headsets with more on the way and now my own headset is unusable because a can't access my library. Now have the same problem with another headset. Same story System UX stopped working. Fix it or i will get those 15 headsets and send them back for a refund. Not happy as not even been able to receive the $47 after reffering to some one else. Maybe i should tell everyone to not buy the Meta Quest 2 and buy the Pico instead. What do you think? Also have sent an email regarding Enterprise accounts for a medical center and now have another medical center asking me which headsets they should purchace as i am their Volunteer Tech advisor and VR Health Coach. And no i have not been paid for any of my work regarding the setting up and teach others how to use the Meta Quest 2. Don't bother asking if ive done factory reset as i have done all i can think of. Have done a few factory resets with no issues at all. I want to say thank you in advance but.....

I have the same issue. I have Oculus Quest 1 bought in 2020 and it has been perfectly working since then. Yesterday I saw " SystemUX keeps stopping" on my screen. The only way to temporarily resolve the problem is turn wi fi off. Resolve this issue as soon as possible, please!

Legend!  Turned wifi off like you suggested and was able to open my App Library.  I was able to launch 2 out of the 3 stuck/blank apps that I had then quit them and reopened the App Library without the UX error.

After I was able to launch each of the stuck/blank apps, the names underneath them returned.  I turned Wifi back on and their icons downloaded OK and things seem to be back to normal.

I had one more stuck app that forced the UX error after I quit it so I restarted, turned wifi off again, started the stuck app, quit it and then turned wifi back on and now everything seems to be back to normal and working with out issue.

EDIT:  App Library and My library in the phone app is still empty though.

EDIT 2: Put the headset on after connecting to it via the phone app and immediately had problems again.  Guardian boundary, the home environment and UI elements were flicking on and off rapidly associated with the sound dropping in and out.  I restarted the headset and it got through the boundary confirmation dialog but some blank/unamed icons had returned along with the UX error.  I went through the process above with the Wifi off/on and the issues were resolved.  Not sure if it's coincidence or not with the phone app, will need to do more testing.

Turning off Wifi did indeed fix the issue, I had to do a hard reset of the HMD though with the Wifi Off before turning it back on

Thank you vladimir.void.14 I will try turning wi fi off and see how it goes. Maybe the new update will fix it we can only live in hope.

Turned wi fi off did a reboot then turned wi fi back on again. I also turned wi fi off on iPad and mobile phone will see what happens when I turn them back on again. Thanks again

Turning off wifi did not fix it for me but something else did!

For those like me, try switching to another language and accessing the apps list.  I think after you do a hard reset, it tries to ask you if you want to download some apps you own in your library, and somehow that was not showing correctly in English(UK), hence the grey box.

Looks like that prompt only happens the first time after you do a hard reset.  After gaining access to apps list, I was able to switch back to English(UK) and the issue no longer appeared for me.

Hooray, no need to learn a new language!
