After the last q3 update I have something wrong with the screen. Artifacts have started to appear. At first I thought it was the laptop's fault because I mainly play HL: Alyx but I tested the graphics card in the laptop and it is ok. Today I got the same thing in Project Cars and changed my computer to a desktop. The worst thing is that I noticed it also on the home screen without connection to the PC. Clearly this is an q3 problem. They appear at random times. Sometimes right after turning on the q3 itself. Sometimes after a long time. They appear for a fraction of a second but are quite noticeable. Has anyone noticed a similar problem?

As you can see from the video above, I get some white pixels flashing on the screen of my Quest 3. This always happens when I watch movies in Skybox or Virtual Desktop and can get worse when my head is moving. It's very annoying and disturbing. But when I'm using old version of Skybox (1.1.0) the problem doesn't show up.
So is this a software bug or hardware related issue? I've seen many people also get this problem since months ago, that's a very long time. I hope the developers of Meta can take it seriously, at least, let us know you are trying to fix this issue.

I am also having this issue. Its not just in pcvr even. It happens at any time with any game. PVCR or not. Started with the 60 update.

Like many other have said. I am also getting artifacting after the v60 update. Sounds like others have had it for longer than that but mine just started with this update. It happens all the time both in standalone games and PVCR. I've tried everything I can think of. As well as other recommendations. Nothing works.

I dont understand why any of this would matter. It sounds like most of us have had it working with no artifacts. Then we update and change nothing else and now theres artifacts. I dont think its peoples gpu or bitrates. I played for over a month with ZERO artifacts across probably 10 different games. Hundreds of hours of gameplay. Now all the sudden I update and I'm getting crazy artifacting. I've even seen it outside of PCVR.

I've seen this a few times on my Quest Pro as well but can't figure out what's triggering it, I am not using PCVR but it has happened a few times to me in specific situations. I'll try to track what's happening but 100% believe it's an issue with v60 on the PTC.
It does feel like having a way to rollback to a previous version would be helpful because often we have no idea what issues might come with an upgrade and it's probably more rare that people have a backup device to test with. I personally don't mind so much until something annoying happens like the return of the choppy audio in recording and hand tracking I'm experiencing in v60. Maybe if I used PCVR more this would be as annoying to me as well.
With Android ROMs if the devs release something they know might have issues, they will list those potential issues but I suspect with the PTC builds it's unclear what issues might come up for specific use cases so that makes it harder to release a early build and know for sure it will be stable for most people.
I try not to assume it's a user error and also agree it can be frustrating when there are a lot of troubleshooting steps that seem irrelevant, ideally someone could explain why trying those specific things might help but in this case it seems very clear this is a v60 update issue from my perspective as well.
Hopefully the next update will release soon and stablize things for those of you in this thread and people getting new headsets for the holidays 🙂

Hey everyone! I went ahead and flagged this with our internal team, so they will be continuing to work on/look into this topic.
With that being said, the best option I can really recommend at the moment would be to submit bug reports wherever you run into this so that our engineers can get more back-end information.
Thank you everyone!

I'm also having this issue - artifacts most visible with Half Life Alyx using Virtual Desktop with version 60.0
No problems with Asgard Wrath 2 or games running natively on the Quest 3, so it seems like it might be a GPU issues when streaming.
Please fix this.
