Hey Meta support elves,
I use my Quest Pro exclusively for PCVR sim racing, and as such I use the Touch controllers solely to start Airlink / SteamLink / Virtual Desktop and then start whatever sim I want to play. I then put them down (actually hang them on pegs) as I don't need them - I have a steering wheel.
Since the latest firmware updates I get constantly harassed by my controllers popping up a nice, big grey box in the middle of my view, either moaning that the light is too low, or that they've stopped tracking and need waking up. This then causes me to shout something along the lines of:
"I DON'T CARE. I AM NOT USING THE CONTROLLERS. I AM TRYING TO DRIVE A RACE CAR VERY FAST. PLEASE SOD OFF."
Of course the annoying box doesn't take any notice no matter how loud I shout, and I have to pause my game just to prod a controller until it wakes up - whoopee!
I have found that turning on Do Not Disturb prevents the [expletive deleted] annoying and intrusive messages, but it's not a solution, and not a great workaround as there might be notifications I don't mind being disturbed by. Just not completely pointless and irrelevant ones that break my gameplay for no good reason.
I suppose it's a slight improvement over the "Your controller is getting warm" messages we had to endure a few firmware updates ago (narrator: the controllers were in fact stone cold), but it's REALLY ANNOYING.
What would be a good solution would be the option to put the controllers to sleep from the UI, so the headset knows not to keep hassling me about hardware that I'm NOT ACTUALLY USING.
Alternatively please revert to whatever settings the controllers had in the past regarding low light / no tracking. I know I'm not the only Meta user who uses VR just for simulators - show us some love?
Cheers,

Hi there justageezer!
We appreciate you reaching out about this.
As we do not support third-party accessories used alongside Quest devices, there would be no way to circumvent your official controllers using your steering wheel.
In light of this, it is expected that you will receive some prompts from your controllers/interference between accessories from time to time.
Regarding your controllers' tracking settings, once an update is released, we are unable to revert a component to their previous settings/configurations.
Nonetheless, there is always a space for you to voice your opinions in our Ideas Forum! Feel free to leave your suggestions there.
Hopefully this provides some clarity for you!
