I have had the same problem with both controllers whenever I pull the joystick fully forward it makes me go backwards it’s really hard to play games that involve joystick movement and I have done everything you had said to do and it’s still happening how can I fix this?

Sounds like classic drift to me. If your kit is not under warranty Google "Quest stick drift" to find options around cleaning and replacement of the joystick modules. I'd go for replacement myself but it does take a little bravery and the ability to follow a disassembly guide.
