Left controller completely unresponsive

ThomasV0788
Honored Guest

Things I have tried

- Replacing batteries

- Unpairing and attempting to pair left controller (couldn't pair it back due to it not working)

- Sobbing

Please help me, it randomly just stopped responding out of nowhere. Is this a common issue?

Hey there, @ThomasV0788!We completely understand that your left controller is no longer responsive after you've replaced the batteries and unpaired and paired the controllers. Let's try one more thing now that you've finished troubleshooting. Which will need taking out the batteries for at least ten minutes.

We've notices that some customer's controllers are facing issues that appear to be failed firmware updates, regardless of what may be causing this issue, we've have found that that few customers find success by leaving the batteries out for a longer duration as this resets the controller. Please let us know how it goes so that we can determine if any additional steps are required..

Hey, thank you for your support and information on the subject. I assume the batteries I had were already dead because I bought new AA batteries and my controller turned on. Thank you for your attention.

I am having same issue but new batteries from the package did not work. Tried leaving battery out of controller and tried resetting headset, no luck.

Thank you for reaching out @j.897687, by chance has the controller taken any damage? Maybe some fall damage or water damage ? Also, when you are connecting to the headset does the controllers show up on the app ? or are they completely dysfunctional?

No water or fall/hit damage. When powered on it shows the left controller as a red controller. When replacing the battery the controller shows up/vibrates and then is back to red.

Maybe try cleaning the inside spring and contact points. If not it could be possible that the inner part of the control might be dysfunctional.

I didn’t see any battery corrosion on or around the spring but still cleaned the area. Would this be covered under warranty?
