Left controller unusual tracking issue

Thanks for reading this post! I've had a Quest 2 since March 2021 and in that time, I've had both controllers replaced: the right one once and the left one twice (both times for the same issue: tracking was lost for the left controller and when looking through the headset, it would just be floating in mid-air).

My 12 month warranty has now expired and the left controller is malfunctioning in a way I haven't seen before. It turns on, buzzes, then becomes invisible. Sometimes it will appear, but in the same way as before, it will just float and not respond to tracking. It rotates and revolves, but won't move around and just stays in a fixed point. Then it disappears again. Sometimes it's invisible, but the little cursor dot is there. I've tried new batteries, unpairing and re-pairing, restarting the headset, different environments and lighting conditions and nothing works. The controller hasn't been damaged in any way.

The replacement shipped in October 2021, but I'm guessing there is no 12 month warranty on replacement controllers. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or how to get it working again?
