Left lens in my oculus 2 sometimes works and sometimes don't

Around a month ago, my left lens stopped working properly. 

As in most cases, it will be completely black (not turned on) while the right lens is working properly.

I tried rebooting the device, factory resetting, and updating the software to the latest and greatest, but the problem returned after one usage. 

Any advice besides the rebooting and factory resetting that I already did?
