When I try to connect to my PC with either air link or cable it does not work, I just get 3 dots loading followed by a notification in the PC software saying link did not work. Also the Oculus software says the battery is low despite the headset having 100% battery. Also when I go to link with the cable it just says rift and not my PC not sure if that is relevant.
I have tried the following:
using both USB C to USB C Oculus link cable
USB 3.0 to USB C link cable which passed the test in the software
Tried air link
disabling the external monitor temporarily (Win10 System > Display > Choose "Show Only on 1")
To ensure that dedicated GPU is used I went in Win10 settings
System > Display > Graphics
and clicked on Browse to add two special entries
One for the Oculus client (C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client\OculusClient.exe),
On for the OVR Service Launcher (C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\OVRServiceLauncher.exe) ** not sure if that one is needed but meh
then clicked on Options and specified "High Performace" instead of "Let windows decide" for both.
Then
Quit the Oculus App,
restart the Windows Service named "Oculus VR Runtime Service" in Windows Services
Put the headset back on, wait for the "Oculus Link" option to reappear and click on it, and be patient it can take 30secs+
I have gone into Debug and changed the video codec to H.264
@ryan9646 what are the specs of your system as meta is constantly screwing up the hardware support list.
You may want to try the SteamLink or Virtual Desktop apps from the meta store to stream PCVR content from your PC to the headset.
Steam VR may need the ReVive addon to play meta content.
Four Rift CV1s, Quest 2, Quest 3, Lenovo Explorer WMR.
