I got a new Meta Quest 3 yesterday, and I am trying to connect it to my PC. Using Link with a USB-C cable works, and even the remote desktop feature so my Quest CAN recognize my PC. However, whenever I try using Air Link my PC doesn't show up on the list or get recognized. I have rebooted both my PC and Quest, and made sure that both devices are connected to the same network. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

Is your pc Ethernet wired to your router? Do you have a dedicated 5Gz channel and is your router close to your play space, preferably in the same room. If you can’t manage this and/or aren’t prepared to do a bit of google research/troubleshooting, then just stick with link. Otherwise contact meta support including your log files and see if they can help.

I live in a college dorm but there are Ethernet ports in every room. The Internet is very good with and without Ethernet, but I have tried both. I am also connected to our 5Gz channel, but the router is unknown. I am using this Meta Quest for personal use and also planning to use it for development, so I am prepared to do work to get this working. I have also submitted problems on the Quest 3 itself, with a picture, the diagnostics and a description of the problem.

@Genamite sorry but that setup is never going to work well for wireless PCVR with Air Link, Virtual Desktop, or Steam Link. You may be able to get yourself an inexpensive WiFi6 router and use that, but your dorm may not allow this. Google how to do this. Also, with a bit more research you’ll find out that your internet speeds aren’t important.
Sounds to me like you should just stick using a decent usb3 link cable. I use the official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 gen2 type-c port at 900mbps Max dynamic bitrate (h.264 codec) and it works very well. There probably are less expensive cables on Amazon that may work well. Up you to look into these.

@Genamite the easiest solution would be to get one of these, which plugs directly into the PC and streams to the headset.
