Last night I must have tried 20 times to reply to a moderator's reply in my thread and each time, the forum had taken me to a page that said "log in with Oculus". Whether I pressed the continue button or the cancel button, the outcome was the same, in that there were no error messages and I was still not able to post a reply.
This morning, and I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I only managed to log in, via the same "log in with Oculus" page, having pressed the reply button on a different post.
This is going to be a tough fault to report on the forum, if users don't have the time or the patience to keep trying to log in and there's actually a thread on here where the OP has posted about a similar fault and then can potentially no longer reply, to moderator requests for an update.
Therefore, if anybody does reply to this post, asking me for more information, me not getting back will not be an indication that the problem has been fixed. I will explicitly confirm when the problem has gone away.
By the way, there didn't appear to be a more appropriate label for this issue, so sorry if it causes confusion.
Hey everyone! I know we're all really feeling the effects of this login loop bug, so I'm doing my best to keep pushing for updates on this. I had made an official statement that the team was looking into it in the thread that @Choleni linked in the marked solution, but just for visibility, I'm going ahead with notifying everyone here, too.
I went ahead and flagged both threads to our team to look into. Last I had heard, this issue was passed along to the team that runs our domain servers to look into. I appreciate everyone's patience as the team looks into this, and I'll be sure to pass along more updates as they come along!
Update 4/30/2024:
Hey again, everyone! With a lot of you mentioning logins seem to be a lot more consistent now, I went ahead and checked in to see if the issue was resolved internally. It looks like steps have been taken to improve the login issue, but we're still continuing to monitor it with our team to make adjustments as needed. Thanks for being patient with us while we made the logins a bit more manageable! Once I get another update, I'll be sure to add it here.

That's good to hear thanks. I was starting to worry that I must have somehow not linked my Oculus and Meta accounts properly, but the fact that I have managed to log in some of the time, sort of ended that line of thought.
Hopefully they'll figure it out shortly, but in the meantime, I'll try to stay logged in.
It might be a coincidence, but after over 15 attempts to log in, it finally let me in by me logging out of my Meta account and then trying to get into the forum again. It takes you through the meta login process and then to the 'log in with Oculus' page.
Maybe give this a try and see if it might suffice as a workaround until it gets fixed properly.
This whole thing is pretty weird. I'm logged into the forum with my pc in the living room - and I won't log out, lol - I'm logged into forum with phone......but I can't log into the forum with the pc from game room.

Ya, pretty strange, that's for sure mate. After a number of tries I tried selecting Cancel, instead of login wih Oculus and then the next try connected. So, maybe another workaround to try. the main thing is that meta needs to fix this properly imho.

It seems you have to click to anything else on the sign in page BEFORE click on "sign in with Oculus" and then it works. Is that even possible?😂.....I'm confused. I tried to log in again on second pc and again I failed .....then I clicked on my profile pic - without doing anything there - after that log-in worked!?
It is a strange one for sure, as it apparently sometimes works, but either way, if it fails, surely there should be some form of message explaining why it has failed?
I'm wondering if the problem is being made worse by increased demand on the login/authentication server, with potentially loads of people repeatedly trying to get in? Might even be DDOS protection getting it wrong??? 🙂
